What is Twitter Video Downloader?
Twitter Video Downloader is a free online tool that lets you save videos and GIFs from public posts on X (formerly Twitter) directly to your device as MP4 files — in every quality X actually provides, up to 1080p HD. No account, no signup, no watermark, no software to install.
Why we built it
X doesn't offer a general "save video" button for most posts. If you want to keep a clip for offline viewing, back up your own uploads, or grab a thumbnail for reference, you're on your own. We built this tool to fill that gap with the simplest possible flow: paste a link, pick a quality, download. The whole thing runs in your browser and takes under a minute.
How it works
Videos in public posts are hosted as ordinary MP4 files on X's servers. When you paste a link, the page reads the post through a public embed service, extracts the available MP4 versions, and links them directly — so your download comes straight from X's servers, not through a middleman. We operate no server or database of our own, and we don't store the links you paste.
Our principles
- Free forever — the core tool costs nothing and adds no watermark.
- Privacy-first — no accounts, no tracking of what you download.
- Respect for creators — downloaded media belongs to its creators. We only work with public posts and provide a DMCA process for rights holders.
